1. What is an Optimum Invisiwig?
An Optimum Invisiwig is the most undetectable wig on the market. The entire base of the wig is made of lace that is matched to the scalp color so that the hair actually looks like it is coming from your head. A wig is not supposed to look like a wig and an Optimum Invisiwig accomplishes this.
Also, unlike inferior wigs, an Optimum Invisiwig can also be parted anywhere, styled in any way, or worn in a high ponytail just like your real hair. An Optimum Invisiwig is made of 100% finest quality human hair.

2. Is an Optimum Invisiwig a front lace wig?
No, an Optimum Invisiwig is far superior than a front lace wig. While only the base of a front lace wig has lace in the front of the wig, an Optimum Invisiwig has its entire base made of lace. This makes the wig much more time consuming to make but also makes it look more lightweight and real. An Optimum Invisiwig is far more flexible than a front lace wig in terms of styling. It can be parted anywhere and can also be worn in a high ponytail whereas a front lace wig cannot.
3. What is th difference between an Optimim Invisiwig and a Front Lace Wig?
Also known as Full Front Lace Wig, Lace Front Wig or Lace Wig.
Optimum Invisiwigs are full wigs with the entire wig cap being designed from transparent lace and it also has transparent lace all around the perimeter of the wig. With the full lace wig, you can wear your hair in high up dos and ponytails. Once applied, the wig creates it's own flawless, natural and invisible hairline.
A Front Lace or Lace Front Wig only has the transparent lace in the front of the wig and the remainder of the wig is made from a regular netted wig cap. You are not able to wear a front lace wig in high up dos or ponytails.
4. Which Cap Style Do I Choice?
There are many different style caps - the most common are the full lace cap with ear to ear stretch, the full lace cap with no stretch, front lace only cap meaning lace in the front only, full lace cap with thin skin in front and lace around entire perimeter of head.
5. How do I attach or wear the wig?
The wigs are fairly easy to attach. 95% of our customers attach the units themselves. We provide you with FREE Written instructions as well as care instructions that teach you how to put the unit on and how to care for the unit. The lace front wig will need to be attached with adhesive glue or tape. We sell these items under the wig accessories section of the website. This is not put on your hair, so it will not damage your own hair. We provide you with full instructions on how to properly attach the wig as well as how to care for it and styling tips.
We also have salon partners that prepare the unit, attach the wig, and style the hair. Prices for attachment and style start at $100.
6. Can you tell that it's a wig?
That is the beauty of the Optimum Invisiwig- it is totally undetectable and creates a flawless hairline. No one will know that you have a wig on. The wig is glued to the entire outside perimeter of your head creating it's own invisible hairline. We provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to put your wig on. You will be able to put the wig on yourself just like a professional and get the same flawless hairlines as you see in the picture.
7. What Kind of Hair is the Wig made from?
Our wigs are made from 100% Indian Remy Hair that comes from one single donor. The hair can be ordered in 4 textures - Straight, Yaky, Wavy or Curly.
8. How much is an Optimum Invisiwig?
The retail price of an Invisiwig starts at $450.
9. I have Alopecia or am bald due to chemotherapy. Is an Optimum Invisiwig right for me?

10. Can I color the wig?
Your Optimum Invisiwig is 100% human hair so it can be treated as such. You can color or style it in any way.
11. If I order a wig with wavy texture, can i straighten it (or vice versa)?
Your Optimum Invisiwig is 100% human hair so it can be straightened and curled using a curlin iron or flat iron.
12. What are Bleached Knots?
Bleached knots is a technique where they bleach out the knot that is made when each strand of hair is hand-tied into the lace at the base of the cap. It bleaches the knot out, making it a little lighter so that it does not stand out as much. It gives it a more natural appearance as though the hairs are growing out of the scalp. This is recommended when you choice a dark hair color.
13. Do you charge extra for Baby Hair and Highlights?
You can add Baby hair and highlight options absolutely free - we do not charge for them.
14. What does Density mean?
Density is defined as how thick or thin you want your hair to be. The standard and most popular choice is 100% which is Medium Density.
15. Do the wigs come cut like the picture?
Your wig is designed in the hair length that you order. Example: if you order 16" hair, that hair length will be used throughout the entire wig and layer itself as it goes further down from front to nape. If you want the wig cut like the pictures - it is best to have your stylist cut the wig after you attach the unit to your head so that the layers can be cut to fit the structure of your face etc. This way you can ensure that the layers fall exactly where you would like them to lay.
16. How long does it take for the wig to ship or be made?
For custom orders - Once you pay for your wig, please allow 8- 10 weeks for delivery. Once your wig is done - it will ship via with Insurance and Signature Required via United States Postal Service. For Stock Wigs - stock wigs ship within 24-48 hours with Insurance and Signature Required via the United States Postal Service.
17. I am a stylist or own a wig store. How do I become a distributor or independent representative?
If you want to help your clients look their best, then becoming a distributor is for you. Purchase a distributor package and it will contain all the information needed for you to become a distributor. After you become a distributor, you may purchase Optimum Invisiwig products at wholesale prices. When a customer wishes to purchase a wig, simply measure his or her head and send us the order. We will handle the rest and will mail you the completed wig in 4 weeks.
18. Where is Hair by Haute Couture located?
We are located in Baltimore, Maryland. We currently distribute our Optimum Invisiwigs through our call center, salon distributors, and independent representatives. There is a showroom scheduled to open in Baltimore in 2007.
